The “Give Back the Game Campaign” is a vital fundraising initiative to increase lacrosse participation among Native youth, a group currently underrepresented in a sport that originated within Native communities. This campaign not only seeks to bolster the numbers of Native youth players but also to heighten awareness that lacrosse is fundamentally a Native sport, serving as a platform for connecting our youth to their culture and opening doors to new opportunities.
Our mission is to dismantle the barriers that prevent Native youth and their families from accessing lacrosse. By providing support for essentials such as equipment, uniform expenses, travel assistance, and the development of coaches and mentors, we aim to make participation in camps, clinics, and teams more accessible. These efforts foster a deeper connection to cultural heritage and offer a pathway to personal and community advancement through sport.
The funds raised through this campaign will directly support the needs that make these opportunities possible, including tournament dues, team costs, administrative support, and more. Join us in our mission to return lacrosse to its roots and empower a new generation of Native athletes by contributing to the "Give Back the Game Campaign" by donating to our fund* with Greater Tacoma Community Foundation.
Together, we can use lacrosse as a vehicle for cultural connection and to open a world of opportunities for our Native youth.
*The PNW Native Lacrosse Fund is a component fund of Greater Tacoma Community Foundation. (GTCF). GTCF is a 501(c)(3)(Federal Tax ID # 91-1007459). Donations to PNW Native Lacrosse via GTCF may be tax-deductible.
